After finding their ideal house in Sydney’s Dover Heights, a busy professional couple engaged us to transform it into their dream home. The client’s desired a modern, luxurious and light filled space with a sophisticated resort feel that reflected the beachside location. Avoiding the cliché beach style, we took inspiration instead from boutique hotels, and in doing so, also took comfort to the next level which was of upmost importance to the owners.

We acted to lighten the scheme both visually through the calm colour palette, and aesthetically via introducing delicate clean lines and detailing. Substantial spatial redesign was required, with a purpose considered layout befitting the client’s lifestyle and love of entertaining. Custom bespoke elements were used throughout, forming the basis for the design.

Zone specific areas were created within the open-plan layout to bring a sense of purpose and increased function to the spaces. The creation of a resort style master suite exemplifies the luxurious appeal for the home, while the clients love of colour is incorporated with restraint within the interior accents. Introducing pattern and texture throughout the home provides harmonising visual links.

Completely tailored for the clients lifestyle, this home provides an oasis of calm and comfort while being an entertainers dream, and accommodating their beloved Dachshunds Daisy and Dixie. The result is a welcoming and luxurious home that works for our clients on all levels.
