Kells Kitchen, Kirketon Hotel, Darlinghurst

A complete reinvention for the restaurant of the acclaimed Kirketon Hotel, enabled us to create a restaurant in tune with it's surroundings. Kells Kitchen was designed to be both reflective of it's location in Darlinghurst, and also of it's sophisticated yet casual dining menu.

Introducing an open frontage to the restaurant acts as an inviting way  for patrons to both see, and be seen in this trendy suburb of Sydney. A combination of communal and private dining options allow patrons to choose the dining stye most enjoyed by them, or best suited to the dining occasion.

With buttery coloured leather banquettes and sleek timber finishes juxtaposed against concrete terrazzo flooring and raw elements, the interiors are an ode to balance. Oversized industrial pendants create both drama and intimacy within the space, while mirrored elements help to give proportion to the long room. An art commission by a Sydney graffiti artist acts to echo the urban surroundings, and works to contrast the sleek interiors.

Kells Kitchen also features an ambient and opulent design savvy cocktail bar at the rear of the premises, ideal for patrons to enjoy a night out in the surrounding colourful Darlinghurst. The acclaimed restaurant perfectly compliments the Kirketon Hotel's reputation as one of the worlds best boutique hotels.
